Basketball Recap: Pender Skates Past Bancroft-Rosalie with Ease

Pender won the last time they faced Bancroft-Rosalie and things went their way on Monday too. The Pender Pendragons blew past the Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers, posting a 61-31 win. The Pendragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Maya Dolliver was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. What's more, she also posted a 69% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024. Madalyn Dolliver was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.

Pender was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bancroft-Rosalie only racked up four assists.

Bancroft-Rosalie's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Makenna James, who posted six points and four steals, and Brooklyn Monroy, who put up six points. James has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Pender and bumps their season record up to 19-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31 points. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Pender has already played their next match, a 44-29 win against West Point-Beemer on the 6th. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-45 loss against Clarkson/Leigh on the 6th.
