Basketball Recap: Jillian Watson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northern Burlington over Pennsauken

If Northern Burlington was riding high fresh off their 75-43 takedown of Delran last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Northern Burlington Greyhounds fell 58-49 to the Pennsauken Indians on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-45 back in December of 2024.

Northern Burlington lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jillian Watson, who posted 17 points. The game was her third in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Karina Harrison, who scored 12 points.

Northern Burlington's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Pennsauken, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Northern Burlington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-40 win against Steinert on the 13th. Pennsauken has also already played their next game (against Medford Tech), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
