Mojave extended the longest winning streak in 8-Man Freelance (8 Man) this week by beating Lancaster Baptist, 55-6. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Mustangs.
Coast Union took down Concordia 76-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. ALAM RAMIREZ ran for 121 yards during the win.
The Broncos' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. ANGEL AVINA threw for 63 and 1 touchdown and TOMMY HOWARD had 28 yards receiving. On the ground RAMIREZ chipped in 121 yards. EMMANY GODINEZ helped Coast Union's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 21 yards.
RAMIREZ provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Coast Union beat the Cougars.
HOWARD was the best receiver in the league this week as Charlie Casale's team defeated Concordia. HOWARD tallied 1 reception for 28 yards. GODINEZ helped Coast Union's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 21 yards.
The Broncos' AVINA and QUINTEN RAETHKE have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-9 quarterback AVINA has thrown for 1,672 yards this season, while RAETHKE has 41 catches for 838 yards. Enzo Stagnaro from Orcutt Academy leads the league in rushing with 1,234 yards.
AVINA of the Coast Union is only 79 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. AVINA has rushed for 921 yards on 140 carries so far this year.
