North Vermillion came tearing into Thursday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 47-38 win over the Riverton Parke Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 50-31 back in November of 2024.

North Vermillion's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nora Thomann, who went 10 of 14 on her way to 21 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cadence Dunham, who posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals.

North Vermillion smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

When it comes to explaining why Riverton Parke lost, don't look at Jacee Stonebraker. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Stonebraker a new career-high in steals (five). Another player making a difference was Corinne Loomis, who had eight points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

North Vermillion is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Riverton Parke, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-6.

North Vermillion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-38 defeat against West Lafayette on the 11th. As for Riverton Parke, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-55 loss against South Putnam on the 13th.
