While Moorpark put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Oak Park. The Musketeers put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 10-0 win. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Musketeers this season.
Carson Cerny was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. Cerny was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Moorpark got a big performance out of AJ Mai, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, Mai posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Tutino, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.
Moorpark kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
The victory made it two in a row for Moorpark and bumps their season record up to 7-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Oak Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season.
