The Laughlin Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Adelson by a score of 44-35. The win was just what Laughlin needed coming off of a 54-27 loss in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Laughlin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daishanae Jackson, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Braaksma, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Laughlin's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Adelson, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laughlin will take on Lake Mead Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
