The Orange Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Saddleback as Orange made off with a 58-34 win. The win was some much needed relief for Orange as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, Saddleback saw an underclassman step up: Christopher Trotter dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. The match was Trotter's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Andru Chhun, who scored three points along with five rebounds.
Orange's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Saddleback, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orange will challenge Calvary Chapel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Calvary Chapel presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Orange in California (Calvary Chapel is ranked 544th, while Orange is ranked 1281st). Saddleback is on the road again on Friday and play against Rancho Alamitos at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Rancho Alamitos focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Wednesday.
