On Thursday, Liberty beat Southern Missouri RUSH 43-33.
Hannah Gibbons and Lillian Mindeman certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Gibbons dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds, while Mindeman scored nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks. That was a full 66.7% of Southern Missouri RUSH's points, marking the 12th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Liberty is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Southern Missouri RUSH, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-5.
Liberty will be playing in front of their home fans against Houston at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Houston is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Southern Missouri RUSH, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Gainesville at 4:00 p.m. on January 26th. Gainesville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
