Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Littleton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past Wheat Ridge 14-4 on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Farmers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Mario Flores was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. Flores was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Peyton Brooks, who went 1-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Eli Jacobs was another key player, earning one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Green Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-1. As for Littleton, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-14.
Littleton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Green Mountain hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. It's a different story for Littleton, though, as they've only averaged .253. Will they be able to contain Green Mountain's hitters?
Everything went Green Mountain's way against Littleton in their previous matchup on April 8th, as Green Mountain made off with a 12-5 win.
