On Friday, Chapelgate Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against St. John's Catholic Prep, but they still walked away with a 56-51 victory.
Chapelgate Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Julian Sabbat, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Sabbat has scored at least a third of Chapelgate Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Bishop, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Greater Grace Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 60-54 to Maryland School for the Deaf. Greater Grace Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Chapelgate Christian Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. As for Greater Grace Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
