Canyon Ridge is 2-8 against Twin Falls since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Canyon Ridge Riverhawks will host the Twin Falls Bruins at 6:15 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Canyon Ridge barely beat Jerome the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Canyon Ridge was the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Jerome on Saturday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Kennan Huettig was a standout: he scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chritian Waitley, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.
Canyon Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Twin Falls came into Saturday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They won by a run and slipped past Highland 5-4.
Kentyn Ketterling looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Nolan Lehew was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Treyson Walker, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Twin Falls' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Canyon Ridge, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Canyon Ridge's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. Canyon Ridge has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Twin Falls, though, as they've been averaging only 0.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Canyon Ridge continue to outrun the ball?
Canyon Ridge took their win against Twin Falls in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-3. Will Canyon Ridge repeat their success, or does Twin Falls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
