Wil Chandler spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has become a key player for Central Christian: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Jackson Allen was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four stolen bases, and four runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (five). Ace Baxter was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Allen wasn't the only one making solid contact: Central Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The Saints are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Pensacola Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Aletheia Christian Academy last Friday and fell 2-1. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Pensacola Christian Academy's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-8. As for Central Christian, their record now sits at 5-7.
Pensacola Christian Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Central Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .501. It's a different story for Pensacola Christian Academy, though, as they've only averaged .335. Will they be able to contain Central Christian's hitters?
