Atholton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Juan Macatangay led the charge by scoring 7 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Wright, who scored 13 points.
Atholton's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Atholton will look to defend their home court on Friday against River Hill at 6:00 p.m. Centennial will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oakland Mills at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
