Pottsville can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They blew past the Mahanoy Area Golden Bears 14-2. The Crimson Tide might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 12 runs or more this season.
Peyton Eckert made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jes Siminitus, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Jo Barnhart was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
