The Antelope Rams will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Tonopah Valley Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. Antelope will be strutting in after a victory while Tonopah Valley will be coming in after a loss.
After only six points in their last game, Antelope made sure to put some points up on the board against St. John Paul II Catholic on Friday. Antelope really took it to St. John Paul II Catholic for the full four quarters, racking up a 37-8 win at home. The result was nothing new for Antelope, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, Tonopah Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 35-14 defeat at the hands of Arizona Lutheran Academy.
Even though the team lost, they still came through with several impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Sir-izzik S?nchez caldwell, who picked up 100 receiving yards, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. S?nchez caldwell is on a roll when it comes to receiving yards, as he's now posted 100 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Wilt, who threw for 262 yards and a touchdown.
Antelope's win on Friday bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Tonopah Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Antelope strolled past Tonopah Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2021 by a score of 24-6. Will Antelope repeat their success, or does Tonopah Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
