Hamilton has gone a perfect 10-0 against Chandler recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Huskies will head out on the road to square off against the Wolves at 3:45 p.m. Hamilton is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
Hamilton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Perry, who was ranked 14th at the time (Hamilton was ranked 20th). The Huskies might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-4 to the Pumas, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Huskies fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Pumas since Tuesday.
Hamilton got a good showing from Madison Moyar, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Moyar has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Taylor Hampton made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Amanda Benites was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Marana hit Chandler with a five-run second inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves lost 11-1 to the Tigers.
Lily Kolsrud was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one double. Lexi Salem also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Chandler's record is now 8-8-1. As for Hamilton, the loss was their first at home, dropping their record down to 10-8.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hamilton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .342. However, it's not like Chandler struggles in that department as they've averaged .332. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hamilton got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Chandler by a conclusive 13-0 score. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
