Cory McKesson with 8:00 left in the fourth quarter and held on to defeat
Rancho Bernardo (San Diego, Calif.) 27-26 on Saturday. The score was the final lead change in a back-and-forth contest that featured five lead swaps.
The Knights led 14-13 at halftime, but the Broncos recaptured the lead on a
Ivy Adair touchdown run with less than a minute remaining in the third.
By the end of the third, San Marcos found itself trailing by 5 points as Rancho Bernardo captured the lead thanks to two scores in the quarter. RB scored on a touchdown pass by

Brian Riley and a Adair touchdown run in the quarter.
The San Diego school missed two extra point attempts in the loss.
SM's standout player in the win was McKesson. The senior ran for one touchdown and caught two touchdowns. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.
Ensley made a difference for the Broncos. He threw two touchdowns. His performance brought his touchdown total to three on the year.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Knights, which lost to Escondido last week, 28-27.
Rancho Bernardo (0-5) goes up against Ramona in a Palomar game matchup next week, while San Marcos (3-2) locks horns with Orange Glen in a Valley game.
