The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell to Batavia  53-49. Notre Dame has not had much luck with Batavia recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
 Notre Dame lost  on Saturday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Jaden Sherwood, who  scored 20 points along with eight  rebounds. Sherwood hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was  Mavrik Hall, who  scored nine points.
 Notre Dame's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Batavia, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
 Notre Dame will be playing in front of their home fans against Alexander at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Batavia, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Notre Dame Academy at 8:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
