The Valley Forge Patriots lost against the Columbia Raiders back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Valley Forge was beaten by Columbia 73-34. Valley Forge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-19.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cloe Rzeczycki, who scored six points along with five rebounds and five blocks. Another player making a difference was Gracie Kercher, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Valley Forge and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Columbia, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Forge will take on Lakewood at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Columbia, they will head out on the road to face off against Firelands at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Firelands will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 355th, while Columbia is ranked 56th).
