Meanwhile, Floresville put the finishing touches on their 12th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 65-16 victory over Somerset at home. With Floresville ahead 39-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Floresville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alissa Hilario, who scored ten points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Jordin Johns was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven steals.
Pearsall has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Floresville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season.
Pearsall was taken down by Floresville 73-22 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Pearsall was down 40-14.
