The Bison Cardinals lost against the Harding County Ranchers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Bison had to suffer through a rough 65-23 loss at the hands of Harding County. Bison was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-7.
Harding County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Claire Verhulst, who scored 17 points along with five steals. Kelsi Costello was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight steals.
Bison dropped their record down to 4-13 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.0 points per game. As for Harding County, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bison's road trip will continue as they head out to face Oelrichs at 12:00 p.m. on February 17th. As for Harding County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Philip at 5:00 p.m. on February 13th. Harding County's defense has only allowed 27.2 points per game this season, so Philip's offense will have their work cut out for them.
