The Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Far Northeast W Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Eagle Ridge Academy will be strutting in after a win while Far Northeast W will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, Eagle Ridge Academy took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 54-27 victory over Dawson School.
Eagle Ridge Academy found their leader in underclassman Jaz Greenwood , who dropped a triple-double on 20 points, ten rebounds, and 14 steals. That's the first time this season that Greenwood scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carole Tamburino, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Far Northeast W unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak dating back to last season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Mountain Range, falling 75-34. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Far Northeast W in their matchups with Mountain Range: they've now lost four in a row.
Eagle Ridge Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Far Northeast W, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.
Eagle Ridge Academy took their victory against Far Northeast W in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 50-25. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Far Northeast W's Sharneal Polk, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. Now that she won't be playing on Thursday, will it be that much easier for Eagle Ridge Academy to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
