Caden Wayman was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Carver, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Rockvale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Cookeville.
Oakland's victory bumped their record up to 6-10-1. As for Rockvale, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
