The Lewis Lancers will head out on the road to face off against the Falls Church Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Lewis is ranked 291st, while Falls Church is ranked 313th).
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Lewis, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 34-20 loss to Justice.
Diontae McDaniel put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns. Eli Morris made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Falls Church, who are still winless after their seventh game. They were beaten by Mount Vernon 56-0 two weeks ago.
Lewis has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Falls Church, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-7.
Lewis was dealt a bruising 52-7 defeat at the hands of Falls Church when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can Lewis avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
