It was another big night for Shalyn Smith, who scored 19 points. She has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more points the last three times she's played. Tessa Porch was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Middletown pushed their record up to 15-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Platt, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
Middletown will head out on the road to challenge the Lancers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Connecticut (Bristol Eastern is ranked 41st, while the Blue Dragons are ranked 21st). As for Platt, they will be playing at home against the Redcoats at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Berlin will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
