The Dibble Demons will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Walters Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Dibble will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
Dibble had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their match at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 72-26 win over Cashion. Dibble might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won nine games by 20 points or more this season.
Jag Norman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 247 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Norman is absolutely dominating the rushing yard category: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Maddox, who picked up 188 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Walters beat Mooreland 18-12 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Walters.
Dibble has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Wayne and 1-9 Healdton (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 24.2% over those games). As for Walters, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which somehow isn't as good as their 8-2-1 record this season.
Dibble couldn't quite finish off Walters in their previous meeting back in September of 2021 and fell 22-20. Can Dibble avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
