The Blevins Hornets were the 68-56 winner over the Lafayette County Cougars when they last played one another on January 4th, but their luck changed this time around. Blevins fell 57-50 to the Cougars on Tuesday.
It was another big night for JaMaya Davis, who scored 25 points for Lafayette County. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Trinity McKinney, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Blevins' loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Lafayette County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blevins will take on the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Umpire comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Lafayette County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st.
