The Lincoln Tigers entered their tilt with the Pinkston Vikings with 16 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 17. Lincoln blew past the Vikings 65-22 at home on Friday. Lincoln has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 21 points or more this season.
Lincoln got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kayla Crowder out in front who scored 13 points along with four steals. Crowder is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Jada Patterson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Pinkston struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Lincoln racked up 14 assists.
Lincoln pushed their record up to 22-3 with that victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Pinkston, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-22.
Coincidentally, Lincoln and the Vikings will both be playing the Cowboys the next time they take the court. Pinkston will host Carter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lincoln will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th.
