After a string of three wins, College Prep's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Head-Royce at home and fell 89-50. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for College Prep in their matchups with the Jayhawks: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Athenian entered their tilt with the Phoenix with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Athenian enjoyed a cozy 64-45 win over the Phoenix on Tuesday.
Athenian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evan Lucas led the charge by scoring 17 points. Noah Olivier was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
College Prep's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Athenian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
