The Centura Centurions will be playing at home against the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Centura's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Arcadia/Loup City has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Last Tuesday, Centura was able to grind out a solid victory over Boone Central, taking the game 40-28.
Centura found their leader in underclassman Kennedy Davis, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 blocks. Davis hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. Kyra Wooden was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
Even though Arcadia/Loup City has not done well against Ansley/Litchfield recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Arcadia/Loup City enjoyed a cozy 42-28 victory over Ansley/Litchfield. The win was just what Arcadia/Loup City needed coming off of a 57-22 defeat in their prior matchup.
Centura has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Arcadia/Loup City, their victory bumped their record up to 6-14.
Everything came up roses for Centura against Arcadia/Loup City when the teams last played last Tuesday as the team secured a 57-22 win. With Centura ahead 33-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
