A Season-Best Performance from D.J Overson Leads Cyprus over Kearns
On Friday, Cyprus got the W thanks in part to D.J Overson playing the best football he has all season. Overson rushed for 101 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
For the year, Overson has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 136.4 passing yards per game.

Cyprus' Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Britton Jepsen
Thanks in part to Britton Jepsen, Cyprus said goodbye to their 12-game losing streak dating back to last season. Jepsen showed up in a big way on Friday, picking up 201 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average receiving yardage north of 100 yards per game (102). He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 62 yards.
This season, Jepsen has caught 10 touchdowns while averaging 102 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after ten games last season, he had two receiving touchdowns.

Sunia Fifita Dazzles in Granger Win
Sunia Fifita posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 188 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 106 rushing yards.
The win was the fourth in a row for Granger, bringing their record for this year to 5-5. Fifita and Granger are taking a road trip to take on Box Elder at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Uha Malekamu Turns in Season-Best Performance
Thanks in part to Uha Malekamu, Cyprus said goodbye to their 12-game losing streak dating back to last season. Malekamu produced his best game of the campaign on Friday: he picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made 18 total tackles (2.0 for loss). He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season.
For the year, Malekamu has averaged 16 total tackles per game and for the season has those 1 sack. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 5.9 total tackles per game.

Gio Polanco's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Gio Polanco produced his most outstanding game to date while leading West Jordan to the win on Friday. Polanco rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The victory was the fifth in a row for West Jordan, bringing their record for this year to 6-4. Polanco and West Jordan will take on Wasatch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
