This season hasn't been kind to the Creek Valley Storm, who are still winless after their seventh match. They were the victim of a rough 68-43 loss at the hands of Cody-Kilgore on Friday. Creek Valley lost against Cody-Kilgore in their previous head to head back in February of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 47-40 score last time.
Creek Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Mason Timm, who scored eight points along with seven blocks and six steals, and Jaxson Wickham who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Wickham scored 15 or more points.
Creek Valley's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Cody-Kilgore, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Creek Valley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Minatare at 4:00 p.m. on January 6th. Hopefully Minatare focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday. As for Cody-Kilgore, they will head out on the road to face off against Valentine at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Valentine focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday.
