After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cold Springs, Curry was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They secured a 65-60 W over the Oak Grove Tigers. The Yellowjackets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zyontae Hubbard, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 14 boards. Hubbard has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Eli Hudson, who posted 15 points and six boards.
Curry's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Oak Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
