Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond hasn't had much luck against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Knights will challenge Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 4:00  p.m. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last three games.
On Thursday, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond was able to grind out a solid  win over Tuscola, taking the game  9-5.

 Marcus Otto and  Calahan Binion made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound,  Otto   struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits. Meanwhile,  Binion   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  Otto has posted since back in April of 2024. At bat,  Otto  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4, while  Binion  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Otto has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times he's  played.
 In other batting news,  Maddix Stirrett and  Will Hilligoss did most of the damage at the plate:  Stirrett  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4, while  Hilligoss  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond is undefeated when  Hilligoss posts two or  more  runs, but 0-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  Logan Schrock, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg posted their closest  victory since May 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Newton, sneaking past  5-3. The  win continues a trend for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg in their matchups with Newton: they've now won three in a row.
 Aiden Sayers tossed a big game,   striking out six batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   seven  hits (and not a single walk).
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Kendall Morris, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  double. That  home run marked the first that  he  launched this season.  Carter Verdeyen was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
 Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
 Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond couldn't quite get it done against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg in their previous matchup  back in March of 2024 as they fell  5-1. Can the Knights avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
