Warner Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clara Krantz, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Greeno, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds.
Kirabella Williams was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 21 points. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Zanarea Shelton, who scored 11 points.
Warner Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Crescent City, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warner Christian Academy and Wade Christian Academy will face off at 5:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Wade Christian Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Crescent City will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Joseph Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
