Basketball Recap: Scott Gets the Win

Scott won against Holcomb last Monday with 59 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Scott Beavers beat the Holcomb Longhorns by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 59-48. The Beavers haven't had any issues with the Longhorns recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Jackson Rumford was his usual excellent self, going 10 of 15 en route to 25 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Junior Meza was another key player, going 6 for 8 on his way to 17 points.

Scott's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Holcomb, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5-1.

Scott didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-49 victory against Ulysses on the 7th. As for Holcomb, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-47 win against Colby on the 7th.
