Bellevue East is a perfect 8-0 against Bryan since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Chieftains will square off against the Bears at 4:30 p.m. Bellevue East is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Bellevue East took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over Omaha South.

Connor Dolezal looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ben Shearer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Ethan Greenwell was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Bellevue East hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 4-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Meanwhile, Bryan lost 18-3 to York on Monday. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westin Williams was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Bryan's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Bellevue East, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bellevue East has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .443. However, it's not like Bryan struggles in that department as they've averaged .440. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Bellevue East took their win against Bryan in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 18-1 score. Do the Chieftains have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
