Softball Game Preview: East Davidson Golden Eagles vs. Lexington Yellowjackets

East Davidson is a perfect 10-0 against Lexington since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Golden Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. The timing is sure in East Davidson's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Lexington has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

East Davidson fell victim to East Forsyth and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 15-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Golden Eagles have suffered since March 6th.

Meanwhile, Lexington lost 24-9 to Thomasville on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Yellowjackets have suffered against the Bulldogs since March 29, 2019.

E'Kayla Huntley was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Tiana Hopkins was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for East Davidson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
