Pekin had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They strolled past Sigourney-Keota with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 31-12. That result is just more of the same for Pekin, who also won the last time these teams played. This was the first game for both teams, giving Pekin a 1-0 record and starting Sigourney-Keota off at 0-1.
Next week, Pekin take on Mid-Prairie at 7:00 PM. As for Sigourney-Keota, they will face of against Lynnville-Sully.
