Central barely beat Dunnellon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bears blew past the Tigers 3-0 on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

While Central won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16, 25-18.

Isabella Colon paced Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Colon got some help from Lacie Bigger and her 15 assists. Colon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Dunnellon's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Aubree Smith, who had six digs and three assists, and Carmela Capobianco, who had nine digs.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Dunnellon, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-13.

Central has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Hernando on the 6th. As for Dunnellon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Crystal River on the 6th.
