The Calumet Christian Patriots won the last time they faced the Hammond Academy of Science & Tech Hawks, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Calumet Christian strolled past Hammond Academy of Science & Tech with points to spare, taking the game 57-42.
Brad Nymeyer was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolton Foutz, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Calumet Christian's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-12. As for Hammond Academy of Science & Tech, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calumet Christian will challenge La Lumiere Blue at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. La Lumiere Blue will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Hammond Academy of Science & Tech will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Ellison at 6:30 p.m. on January 22nd.
