After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Catoctin, the Clear Spring Blazers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They managed a 37-32 win over Brunswick. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Clear Spring also won the last time the pair played last Monday.
When it comes to explaining why Brunswick lost, one person who can't be blamed is Andie Welsh. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 23 rebounds. Welsh is crushing the block category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Gabby Stefanic was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five steals.
Clear Spring pushed their record up to 6-11 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Brunswick, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
Clear Spring will square off against the Leopards at TBD on Monday. As for Brunswick, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Middletown presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Railroaders in Maryland (the Knights are ranked 85th, while the Railroaders are ranked 202nd).
