Kansas School for the Deaf's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 46-34 to Frontier School of Excellence. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kansas School for the Deaf in their matchups with Frontier School of Excellence: they've now lost seven in a row.
Veritas Christian suffered their closest loss yet this season on Saturday. They fell just short of Wichita Defenders HomeSchool by a score of 42-40.
Despite the loss, Veritas Christian got a solid performance out of Gavin Oberzan, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Josh Nadvornik, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Kansas School for the Deaf's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4. As for Veritas Christian, they bumped their record down to 4-9 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
