Edison was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in County/Metro. Earlier in the week, the Tigers triumphed over Crenshaw 29-14.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Edison beat the Cougars 29-14,. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Thanks to the talents of Isaiah Justice and Sidney Washington, Bullard has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Justice is tops in the league in passing with 453 yards, while Washington has rushed for 253 yards this season. San Joaquin Memorial's Brennan Martinez leads the league in receiving yards with 214 on 9 catches.
Madera South fell to Central Valley 46-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
