The Greenville Green Wave's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 47-40 to Piqua. Greenville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Piqua apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Greenville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Drew Hamilton, who scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chace Drew, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds.
Greenville's loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Piqua, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenville will take on Sidney at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Sidneypresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Greenville in Ohio (Sidney is ranked 279th, while Greenville is ranked 751st). As for Piqua, they will head out on the road to challenge Troy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
