Fairborn is 2-8 against Tippecanoe since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Fairborn Skyhawks will be home for the holidays to greet the Tippecanoe Red Devils at 8:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Fairborn has not done well against Sidney recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Fairborn had just enough and edged Sidney out 44-42. The win made it back-to-back wins for Fairborn.
Taiyou Williams was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Sean Townsend, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Tippecanoe beat West Carrollton 50-37 on Tuesday.
Fairborn's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-2. As for Tippecanoe, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.
