The biggest upset of the week belonged to Penn Yan Academy, who took down 498th ranked Midlakes, 28-7.
Waterloo moved up to 379 from 429 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 5 Finger Lakes - East. The Indians were able to make the jump by falling to East Rochester-Gananda 49-18.
Palmyra-Macedon's dynamic duo of Stephen Morrell and Joshua Lennon proved tough for Newark to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Morrell threw for 236 yards and three touchdowns and Lennon had 114 yards receiving. Trevor Wager helped Palmyra-Macedon's passing attack out by catching four balls for 82 yards.
Justin Morrison was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 10 carries, he ran for 68 yards as Wayne fell to the Reds. Sam Desiato also contributed to the rushing game with 20 yards on the ground.
Palmyra-Macedon's Morrell and Lennon have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Morrell has thrown for 1671 yards this season, while Lennon, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 28 catches for 723 yards. The Eagles' Morrison leads the league in rushing yards with 710.
Geneva extended the longest winning streak in Section 5 Finger Lakes - East this week by beating Wayne, 34-21. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Panthers.
