The Layton Lancers will head out on the road to face off against the Logan Grizzlies at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Layton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Summit Academy with a sharp 20-0 win on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lancers.
Nora Morrow made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI.
