Sheridan Hills Christian found their leader in underclassman Lily Carrington, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Carrington also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Spee, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Sheridan Hills Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Avant Garde Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Sheridan Hills Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on FAU High at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. Avant Garde Academy will be home for the holidays to greet First Baptist Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
