The Center Cougars won the last time they faced the Wheatland Pirates, and things went their way on Friday too. Center came out on top against Wheatland by a score of 61-48.
Leading Center to victory were Terrill Reid and Dominic Johnson. Reid scored 16 points along with seven assists and five rebounds, while Johnson scored 32 points along with six rebounds. Johnson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Nisi, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Center now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Wheatland, they bumped their record down to 4-16 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home.
Center will take on Bear River at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wheatland, they will head out on the road to face off against Colfax at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Colfax presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wheatland in California (Colfax is ranked 565th, while Wheatland is ranked 1216th).
